As an Illinois native and proud Midwesterner, Dr. Karen is excited to serve the Chicagoland Community. Dr. Karen was born and raised in the western suburbs of Illinois and continued her education in Chicago from college through residency. She graduated suma cum laude from dental school with multiple awards, including the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) Student Award. In residency, she received numerous awards for her master’s thesis, most notably the Graber award, among the highest honors in research from the AAO and her contributions to orthodontic research are published in a number of journals.
Dr. Karen’s greatest joy is seeing her patient’s smile grow from a timid stretch of the lips to the eye crinkling tooth showing grin after braces removal! She loves working with patients of all ages and backgrounds. She strives to treat her patients with compassion and to provide optimal care customized to their needs.
Outside of practice, Dr. Karen enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and dog. Among her favorite things is biking along the lake, visiting museums, exploring the local food scene and BBQing with family and friends.
