Des Plaines, IL – October 2nd, 2023 – Orthodontic Experts, a multi-location orthodontic clinic across three states, understands that not all patients are the same. Some patients might be children, teens, or even adults; some patients might want to color their smile while others might want to transition their dream smile in a transparent way; and some patients might be in the professional field while others do not need to consider their professionalism. However, whatever the case may be, Orthodontic Experts has the braces option that you require.
When you first come into one of the Orthodontic Experts clinics, your first step is attending a no-cost consultation. This is where you will meet with our team and orthodontist. They will lay out all of your treatment options and explain why each of the options is perfect for your unique treatment journey. The orthodontist might talk about Traditional Metal Braces, Lingual Braces, Gold Braces, and/or Clear Aligners. You will also be educated on your potential options which will help you make the best decision to transition your confident, dream smile.
Traditional Metal Braces
The first type of braces that Orthodontic Experts offer is our Traditional Metal Braces. A fan-favorite amongst our younger patients, Traditional Metal Braces offer a fun option to transition your smile. Since these braces use colored elastics called O-Rings around the metal brackets, children tend to flock to this option. With the ability to choose and color their smile, it offers a sense of ownership and personalization to our patients. Furthermore, these metal braces have metal brackets that are bonded – or glued – to your teeth as well as metal wires that connect the brackets. Then, swith the help of pressure from the metal pieces and adjustments from our orthodontists, your teeth are then seemlessly transitioned into their new, desired positions. This always provides a wonderful dream smile.
Lingual Braces
Our next type of braces that we offer is our Lingual Braces. Popoular amongst patients that wish to transition their smile in secret due to self-esteem as well as patients that might play wind instruments, contact sports, or are even working within the professional field, Lingual Braces are actually metal braces that are bonded to the backs of the teeth. This then leaves the fronts of the teeth untouched and the braces completely unnoticeable. The first step within this process is actually to take an impression of your teeth and mouth. This allows for the personalization of brackets for each tooth. When these are completed, they are then bonded to the backs of the teeth and connected by a metal wire. Similarly to Traditional Metal Braces, pressure is then applied to slowly move each desired tooth into their new position. Since this is such a personalized treatment option, though, the process might take longer and require more frequent adjustments than Traditional Metal Braces. However, the end result is still a wonderful, dream smile.
Gold Braces
The next type of braces that Orthodontic Experts offers is our Gold Braces. Another popular option amongst our young professional patients, this stainless steel option provides the color of champagne – leaving this option as another discreet option. Similarly to Traditional Metal Braces, the champagne-colored stainless steel brackets are bonded to the fronts of the teeth and held together with champagne-colored wires. Then, with the help of minimal pressure, the teeth are gradually shifted into their new positions. In turn, patients are then left with a whiter dream smile as the color of the metal allows for the enamel to remain white.
Clear Aligners
Our final option offered through Orthodontic Experts are our Clear Aligners. Again, this is another option that is favored by young professionals and those that wish to transition their smile in secret. By first taking a 3D scan, or impression, of your teeth, our orthodontists are able to curate a series of tailored trays called aligners to your specific needs. From there, you are to wear the aligners for a minimum of 22 hours every day, only removing them when you eat, drink, and keeping up with your daily brushing and flossing habits. However, because these can be removed, it is imperative that you remember to clean your teeth and the aligners before putting them back in your mouth. Then, after a set amount of weeks, you will come back into the clinic where your teeth will be analyzed. From there, you will be given the next set of your aligner trays. This end result, like all the others, also offers your confident, dream smile.
